Atherton Hill

Finishing your website

Prepared for Mariel Arru 26 October 2026 Seven short sections

How this works

The designs are done. What's left are the facts, names and lists only you can give me. I've kept it to picking wherever I could.

Each section has its own Send button. Do one, send it, and come back for the next whenever you like. Your answers are also kept on this computer as you type, so closing the page won't lose them.

Not sure about something? Choose “Let's talk”, or tick “Not sure yet”. We'll cover those together. Partial is fine.

  1. Your practice
  2. Accounts and tools
  3. Consulting
  4. Writing and speaking
  5. About you
  6. Resources
  7. Quick confirmations

Please don't include any client names or details in your answers.

01

Your practice

The basics visitors look for first.

Is $200 an hour still your fee?

Can clients pay with an FSA or HSA card?

Do you offer online sessions?

Do you still offer walking and running sessions?

Which email address should appear on the Contact page?

The contact form needs a short privacy note: how messages are stored and who sees them.

Thank you, Mariel. Section 1 is with me. Carry on with the next one whenever you're ready.
Something went wrong sending that. Your answers are still here. Try again, or email randy@athertonhill.com and I'll sort it out.
02

Accounts and tools

Two accounts I need before the site can go live.

Termageddon: please give me access to your account.

Termageddon writes your Privacy Policy, Notice of Privacy Practices and Terms of Use, and keeps them up to date. I'll finish setting them up and connect them to the site. Add randy@athertonhill.com to your account. Please don't type any passwords into this page.

Which email service will send your newsletter?

The sign-up box on your Writing & Speaking page needs to connect to one. If you don't have one yet, I'll recommend one that suits you.

What's your Substack web address?

Thank you, Mariel. Section 2 is with me. Carry on with the next one whenever you're ready.

03

Consulting

The page shows three ways to work with you. The names are placeholders.

In a few words, what does consulting focus on?

It finishes this sentence: “Consulting is open to anyone, anywhere, and focuses on ...”

Offering 1, for couples

Keep the name or change it. Then the number of sessions, how long each is, and the price.

Offering 2, for parents

Keep the name or change it.

Offering 3, for individuals

This one has no name yet. It's for adults who want to feel steadier from the inside out.

Is the first consulting call free?

Thank you, Mariel. Section 3 is with me. Carry on with the next one whenever you're ready.

04

Writing and speaking

For the people who might invite you to speak.

Your fourth talk needs a title.

It's described as: “For moms, and anyone who cares for everyone. Softening, self-kindness, and room to change.” The placeholder title is “Mothering Yourself, Too”.

Should faith communities be on the list of groups who invite you?

The list now reads: moms' groups, women's and men's groups, healthcare and helping teams, professional associations.

What kinds of speaking do you do? Tick all that apply.

Where do you speak?

Thank you, Mariel. Section 4 is with me. Carry on with the next one whenever you're ready.

05

About you

A few things only you can say.

Your training and approaches. Untick anything you'd rather not feature.

The “A little more of my story” part of your About page: keep it, soften it, or cut it?

It's the short piece that begins “For years, my family looked like the picture of having it together.”

Two or three things you love outside the office.

Right now the page says: “I raised six kids. I love words, good conversation, and a well-made playlist.”

Quotes from colleagues

One or two sentences each, with their name and role, and only with their permission. No client testimonials.

Are you happy with these two headlines?

My highest credential is that I do my own work.

Your pace. Your goals.

Thank you, Mariel. Section 5 is with me. Carry on with the next one whenever you're ready.

06

Resources

Your new Resources page: books, podcasts, support groups and crisis help, free for anyone.

Books you recommend

One per line: title, author, and an optional one-line note in your words.

Podcasts you recommend

One per line: the show, a specific episode if you have one, and an optional note. I'll link each to Apple Podcasts.

Support groups. Untick any you'd rather not list.

Which headline do you prefer for the page?

The crisis section lists 988, the Crisis Text Line, and local crisis and safety lines in Mecklenburg County. Are you comfortable listing them?

Its introduction says the lines “are answered 24 hours a day”, but a couple of them may only be open during office hours. I'll check every number before launch.

Thank you, Mariel. Section 6 is with me. Carry on with the next one whenever you're ready.

07

Quick confirmations

Things we talked about in our meetings. I want to be sure I heard you right.

Consulting and Writing & Speaking sit together under one “Other Services” menu at the top of the site, so the homepage stays about therapy.

The contact form asks what someone is getting in touch about: Therapy, Consulting or Speaking.

The Consulting page compares therapy and consulting, so visitors can tell which one fits them.

Anything else on your mind about the website?

Thank you, Mariel. Section 7 is with me.

That's everything

Thank you, Mariel. Anything you marked “Let's talk” or “Not sure yet”, we'll go through together.
